Tickle About Town

I love road trips and the past couple days I have been doing my best to convince Tickle that the car rides are fun.  So far he is not convinced.  He has to be touching me, his favorite spot perched on shoulder like a parrot, with his muzzle and paws resting on top of my head.  My mom, who was in the passenger seat, kept trying to hold him, but he would just stare at me with the sad puppy eyes and whimper.  I don't know what I'm going to do when he is a full grown 50lb Corgi.

The first trip we took was to the pet store.  While Tickle was mildly interested in scoping out the toys, for the most part he just wanted to snooze in my arms.  Apparently he found the car ride more stressful than soothing.  He did wake up when my mom popped him into this blue polo shirt.  While Tickle was absolutely adorable, looking like quite the preppy little Corgi, he did not like it one bit.  Needless to say, I did not get him the shirt.  However, there was this grey hoodie that said "Home Slice" on the back, with the image of a pizza.  If they had had that in his size, the poor boy would have to learn to love wearing shirts because he would be sporting that hoodie.

Today I wanted to take Tickle out for another shopping excursion, and so we drove to Home Goods.  Once again, the pup was only happy with his fluffy rump on my shoulder...sigh.  But, we had a blast at the store.  I place my jacket in the cart so he would have a little cushion and off we went up and down the aisles.  People would stop and exclaim over his adorableness, and Tickle just ate up the attention.  He loved all the pets, his nubby tail wiggling back and forth.  By the time we made it to the other end of the store where all the dog stuff is, Tickle was fast asleep in the cart.  Poor boy missed out on the toy aisle.  Good news is he slept comfortably in my lap the whole way home.
