Baked Potato

Tickle gets over heated pretty quick.

I was so excited to bring him to my room – our room.  I put a puppy potty pad on the floor, along with a bowl of water and a bowl of food.  A few toys were on the floor and foam stairs were up against the bed, because there was no way that his stubby legs would be able to jump up on the bed.  Over the next few hours a few things became apparent.  First, Tickle has no idea how to use stairs (or jump, for that matter.)  Second, he is a messy drinker.  And third, he generates an enormous amount of heat while he sleeps.  I like my room chilly because I live in sweatpants when I’m home.  The AC is running, the ceiling fan on full blast, and a crocheted blanket is the only one I use in the summer.  It was too warm for Tickle.  We ended up sleeping on the hardwood floor, Tickle sharing my pillow.  I was not quite as comfortable.

Today it rained and is cooler, and we spent some time learning how to use stairs, though Tickle is by no means proficient.  Fingers crossed we get a cuddly nights sleep on the bed tonight, instead of the floor.
